10 Months

I have realized now that Caroline is only 2 months away from turning a year old! It makes me happy seeing her grow and learn everyday, but sad that my baby is becoming a big girl.

Caroline now weighs right at 19 pounds, which is encouraging because that puts her on track for being able to switch to the front facing seat at a year! I'm SO tired of the baby seat. We won't go back until the week after she turns one for a check up, so not quite sure about height. However, she is basically in 12 month clothes now. She is still able to wear 9 month dresses, and with pants, she is right in between sizes. She can fit into the legging type pants that are meant to be tight, but her jeans and other styles of pants are too baggy in the waste to stay up. Nine month pants are getting too short, so something's got to give.

Caroline:
  • You started to let go of things while standing up (2/10), and have been doing it more often each day. Our goal is to have you walking by a year!
  • You FINALLY learned how to clap. We have been working on this for what seems like an eternity, and you finally did it (2/17). We are so proud of you!
  • You love food! Some of your favorites include, peanut butter spread on bread, spaghetti, Nutrigrain bars, and yogurt.
  • You are down to only 3 7-ounce bottles a day, as most of your calories are coming from food now.
  • You have mastered the art of using a sippy cup, and you much prefer the kind with the straw to those without.
  • You have become a lot more vocal; babbling in the car, talking to yourself in the mornings before we get you up, and giggling with delight when we play peek-a-boo or tickle monster.
