We celebrated Joe's 27th birthday this past week. It was pretty low-key considering it was on a Wednesday. We went out to eat at Applebee's and then came home to enjoy the cake I made. It turned out pretty good and didn't taste too bad, either:)

Today was a beautiful day outstide, so we decided to hit up the pumpkin patch. It was packed, but we were still able to find some good pumpkins. We also tried fried oreos for the first time. Joe isn't big on sweets, but he surprisingly liked them more than I did. Below is the smallest of the three pumpkins we picked out:)
The house is looking more ready for fall now that we added our
pumpkins to the outdoor fall decor.
Joe has been busy getting the yard ready for winter. He spent the weekend putting down grass seed and fertilizer...and, as you can tell from the pic below, got rid of a much unwanted yard guest. Disgusting if you ask me, but Joe is proud of the fact that it took him only 24 hours to kill our mole friend!
